Gratitude In Prayer

Gratitude In Prayer

Frequently expressing gratitude by saying “thank you” is one of the most basic and yet powerful character qualities in life. When it comes to prayer, it’s no different. You may recall last week’s Prayer Point about how even Jesus expressed thankfulness in His prayers to the Father. The apostle Paul also exhorts us to mix gratitude into our prayers. He writes in Philippians 4:6-7: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Friends, let’s lift up grateful words to God, and He will be sure to grant us His peace and joy in this busy holiday season. Now that’s something to pray about!
